Mission:

Quite Light Opera Company is dedicated to producing high quality light opera and a variety of other musical theatre repertoire to provide a unique experience for community performers and audiences alike.

Overview:

Quite Light Opera Company produces both light and full scale opera, classic musical comedy and drama during the summer at the College of Saint Benedict. The Company includes a professional core of performers and musicians, an internship program for performers and technicians and ongoing opportunities for community volunteer participants, all led by a highly qualified, professional staff.

History:

The Quite Light Opera Company was founded in 1980 and produced "light opera" (Gilbert and Sullivan, Johann Strauss, Franz Lehar, etc.) in St. Cloud every summer until 2003. Inactive since 2003,the company re-emerged in 2007 with sell-out performances of Blues in the Night, featuring the music of Duke Ellington and starring Jearlyn Steele and a cast of other talented Central MN performers.
