The Chamber Music Society’s mission is to present the finest in live chamber music performance, and to foster enjoyment and appreciation of chamber music in Central Minnesota.

Overview:

The Chamber Music Society has been bringing some of the finest musicians in the world to St. Cloud. A six-concert series of exceptional diversity, stellar performances and remarkable musicality punctuates the Chamber’s Music Society’s typical annual season of programming.

History:

The Chamber Music Society of St. Cloud was founded in 1979 by a small group of individuals who felt a need for chamber music concerts in the St. Cloud area. Up until the 1995-96 season, when the organization hired an executive director, the organization was run entirely by volunteers. For over 25 years, the Chamber Music Society has presented programs that have run the gamut from 12th century songs to premieres of new works; from string quartets to percussion trios to vocal consorts to small chamber orchestras; from emerging young ensembles to groups with international reputations.
